Bookpay is Live: A booking platform built for tattoo artists

Today, Bookpay by Inkjin is officially live.

Bookpay is Live: A booking platform built for tattoo artists

If you're a tattoo artist, you already know the drill. A client messages you on Instagram. You go back and forth on dates, deposits, design details. You send a bank transfer request, or worse, you just hope the deposit shows up before the appointment. There's no record, no reminder, no system. Just DMs, screenshots, and trust.

We built Bookpay to fix that.

What Bookpay does

Bookpay gives tattoo artists a single place to manage bookings and get paid, without the back-and-forth.

  • Take bookings directly. Clients book and pay deposits through a page that's yours, no more chasing payments over DM.
  • Get paid in your own currency. Whether you're working in Athens, London, New York, or Sydney, payouts land in the currency you actually use.
  • Local payment methods where they matter. When a client and artist are in the same country, Bookpay surfaces the local pay by bank payment methods people there actually use, like IRIS in Greece, SEPA and other local bank transfers across the EU, Faster Payments in the UK, and ACH in the US. Cross-border, it defaults to the universal options: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
  • One record of the whole job. Every booking has its own page that follows the job from first deposit to final payment, so nothing gets lost in old messages.

You set the rules

Every artist works differently, so Bookpay is built to be configured, not just used. You set the rules for your own page.

Why we built this

Inkjin started as a way to help people find and try on tattoos before they commit. But the more time we spent with artists, the clearer it became that discovery wasn't the hardest part of their business. Getting paid reliably was.

Existing tools treat payments as an afterthought, a payment link bolted onto a booking form. We built Bookpay the other way around: payments and bookings as one connected system, designed specifically for how tattoo artists actually work.

Who it's for

Bookpay is built for independent tattoo artists and studios. We support 35 markets at launch, including Australia, the US, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, Singapore, Switzerland, and all of the EU.

Pricing

Bookpay is free for artists. You keep 100% of what you make, we don't take a cut of your earnings.

Instead, we charge a flat €10 booking fee to the client when they book. That's it, no commissions, no percentage fees, no surprises on your payout.

Getting started

We support tattoo artists in 46 countries, so if you're an artist and you want to organize your work and your payments, create your Bookpay account and set up your booking page at:

If you joined our waitlist, you should already have access, check your inbox.

This is the first version of Bookpay, not the last. We're building this alongside the artists who use it, so if something's missing or something's broken, tell us. That feedback is exactly what shapes what we build next.

Welcome to Bookpay.
